For clarification, I would like to share some of the personal experiences that students have shared with the administration. There have been instances of student residents being ridiculed and scorned for cooking and preparing their own ethnic dishes; the other students had labelled it “weird” or “disgusting”.
We realize that racism cannot be solved overnight, but with everyone’s help, we can set high goals and strive for a better tomorrow.

Others of you will pick it up, read the label, interpret the label, and depending on the interpretation, throw it in or not. By posing death as brutal and violent, Owen supports his belief that dying in battle is not as glorious as it is made out to be by those who have not experienced death firsthand…His claim, then, is that dying for your country seems like a sweet thing to do until you actually experience and understand what it really means to die a gruesome death in battle for the sake of some “glory.”
